About
I’m drawn to things I don’t yet understand. Technology and AI, people, complex systems: my instinct is to map the relationships, until I can see how the parts affect one another.

Design gave that instinct a language. Even the first line carries an ambition: the product you can already imagine, but still have to bring into the world. The line anticipates the surfaces, the object they will become, and what someone will perceive in it.
You are drawing a detail while holding the whole in mind.
At V12, our motto brought together the power of design and the beauty of engineering. I still recognise myself in both. Working across industries and living in different countries, for personal as well as professional reasons, widened the picture. Markets, research, medical devices and pharma brought new questions, and with them people whose needs I had to understand before deciding what to change.
Over time, my responsibility grew to include creating the conditions for other people to do their work well. I brought the same care to learning how to lead them. At Flex, I spent ten months in a development programme designed to prepare a group of us to manage people. It included mentoring, coaching, personality assessment and the psychology of work. Giving direction and context, then autonomy, became central to how I lead. I also mentor designers individually.
Sport has been part of my life since I was young: rowing, American football in Serie A1, and now triathlon. The result matters to me. So does knowing what it took to get there: showing up, repeating, and staying with the effort when improvement is difficult to see.
Since 2015 I have been a blood donor with AVIS.
I play the guitar, and my curiosity finds its way into mechanical watches, architecture and art exhibitions. I like looking closely at how something has been put together, but I also enjoy simply being moved by it.
